Calf Mashing – Use a barbell on the squat rack – 4 min run time

Back Rack Alternating Reverse Lunges

4 sets of 12 reps – building but submaximal

WOD

20 min AMRAP

10 Barbell Overhead Alternating Reverse Lunges (45/35) Rx+ 95/65

10 Lateral Burpee Hops

10 Box Jumps (24/20)

 

Athletes, if you are worried about being overly sore, then that implies you have experience with days like this. Use that experience to your advantage and limit your lunge exposure so that you can move over New Year’s Eve weekend and be effective on Monday.

In other news, I made up a word the other day. Paintain – a person’s ability to maintain composure or effort or any other ability while experiencing pain. CrossFit is especially good at improving an individual’s paintainability.
